Anaheim
Packing House

A former citrus packing facility that became one of Anaheim’s most recognizable places to eat, gather, and spend a few unhurried hours. It’s also a natural starting point for exploring more of Orange County’s local food scene.

Why it matters

The building still tells Anaheim’s citrus story.

The Packing House began as an orange packing facility in 1919, during the era when citrus groves and packing operations helped define Anaheim. It’s one of the last remaining citrus packing warehouses in Orange County.

The building was preserved and retrofitted into a two-story market hall. Its modern life is completely different, but the high ceilings, industrial structure, and original character make the history easy to feel while you’re there.

“It’s one of those places where Anaheim’s past and present actually make sense together.”

Parking and access

A few details that make the visit easier.

Where should I park?

Self-parking is available in the Packing House lot and in the lot on Claudina Street, south of the building. Street parking is another option, but pay attention to posted City restrictions. Valet parking may also be available.

Is it accessible?

Accessible parking is available in the main lot. The accessible ramp is at the north entrance, and elevators are located inside near the east and west entrances.

Can I bring my dog?

Pets aren’t permitted within the interior or exterior of the Packing District because of health-code requirements. Trained service animals are permitted.

Can a large group reserve a table?

Common areas aren’t reservable. Individual merchants and private venues may be able to accommodate groups, so arrangements should be made directly with them.
